ehicles (e s) is a powe ul measu e. Fossil uel combus ion is a majo con ibu o o global wa ming
and, i checked, could esul in ca as ophic clima e change (alanazi, 2023). he en i onmen , economy,
and socie y a e all nega i ely a ec ed by he consump ion o pe oleum ca ied by in e nal combus ion

ca ego ies o bibliome ic indica o s a e coun y, au ho ship, ci a ions, impac , and publica ion classi ica-
ion (ahmi & Mohamad, 2019).

elec ic ehicle- ela ed policies. in addi ion (Muzi e al., 2022), e iewed he challenges ela ed o he
implemen a ion o e cul u e in Malaysia a e ho oughly examined, including he Malaysian go e nmen ,
policymake s, and e manu ac u e s. Howe e , none o hese s udies used bibliome ic analysis o e iew

3. Me hodology

a comp ehensi e analysis o bibliog aphic ma e ial was conduc ed using he co e collec ion o he
Scopus da abase o iden i y ends, impac s, and consequence hemes o esea ch ela ed o elec ic
ehicle pu chase in en ion. Fi s , i is widely ega ded as he la ges da abase co e ing a comp ehensi e
ange o schola ly wo ks, wi h o e 19 million au ho eco ds and 2.4 billion ci a ions. Second, Scopus
co e s a ange o in e ela ed disciplines such as social sciences, enginee ing, and business. hus, he
Scopus da abase has been iden i ied as a eliable and comp ehensi e esou ce o quan i a i e scien i ic
esea ch.
3.2. Da a collec ion

he Scopus da abase was used o analyze g ow h, documen and sou ce ype, language, geog aphical
dis ibu ion, subjec a ea, keywo d analysis, au ho ci a ions, ac i e ins i u ions, and ci a ion analysis by
yea and yea o publica ion. he esul s a e p esen ed in equency and pe cen age o ms. his s udy
uses OS iewe so wa e’s co-au ho ship analysis, co-occu ence analysis, and ci a ion analysis o isual-
ize hese da a. his chap e p o ides an o e iew o he esul s om he bibliome ic analysis using he
Scopus da abase o answe he esea ch ques ions.

by Pu a e al. (2023) in 2023.
Based on he da a in able 2, Figu e 3 shows he esea ch ends in his ield. Un il 2020, only a ew
a icles we e published each yea and, none we e published in 2017. Howe e , a e 2020, he o e all
esea ch end is upwa d, wi h an inc ease each yea . his indica es ha his esea ch opic has ecei ed
inc easing a en ion. in 2020, mos o he adi ional ca companies announced ha hei u u e business
di ec ion will shi o elec ic ca s including BMw, olkswagen, and o he eu opean ca companies, and
eleased hei ime o s op de eloping gasoline ca s. By a he highes numbe o pape s on willingness
o pu chase an elec ic ehicle is 2023, wi h 12 publica ions, o one- hi d o he o al numbe o pape s.
4.2. Geog aphical dis ibu ion o publica ion and documen s’ language

knowledge on he ac o s in luencing elec ic ehicle pu chase in en ions. able 3 summa izes he op 10
coun ies wi h he mos publica ions on his opic in he Scopus da abase.
able 3 shows ha he esea ch esul s on e e se logis ics and sus ainabili y a e mainly concen a ed
in china (38.89%), india (19.44%), indonesia (5.56%), Malaysia (5.56%) and Saudi a abia (5.56%). he o al
numbe o ci a ions china (758), india (195) and indonesia (129) a e he h ee mos ci ed coun ies. in
ac , Malaysian a icles also had a good numbe o ci a ions, only 3 less han indonesia. he eason o
