Digi al solu ions p o ide good suppo o pa ien s wi h paedia ic g ow h p oblems and
digi al heal h is inc easingly u ilized o suppo clinical ca e [1]. Expe panel discussions
explo ed he opinions and expec a ions o paedia ic HCPs on how echnological
e olu ion in luences hei accep ance and in en ion o ecommend a digi al heal h
solu ion. The objec i e was o iden i y in luen ial ac o s and o gain unde s anding o
ba ie s and acili a o s o digi al de ice accep ance o he adminis a ion o paedia ic
g ow h ho mone (GH) he apy.
2. Me hods
Two expe panel wo kshops we e conduc ed in Pa is and London wi h 19 HCPs who
had expe ience o GH he apy o paedia ic pa ien s wi h g ow h ailu e, and may ha e
had p io expe ience o he easypod connec ecosys em. The me hodology o he
pa icipa o y discussions ha e been la gely epo ed o a simila s udy ca ied ou in
Spain [2]. In each wo kshop, wo s udy cases we e used o acili a e he discussions on
gene al opics and he cu en ly a ailable easypod de ice (EP2) and he new EP3.
3. Resul s, Discussion and Conclusions
Panel membe s conside ed he physical cha ac e is ics o he de ice o be signi ican as
hey could a ec pe cei ed ease o use. I was also ag eed ha de elopmen o new
in e ac ion me hods ha e made use o he EP3 easie and has imp o ed accep ance. The
p o ision o ouch-sc een capabili y and a la ge sc een on he EP3 we e conside ed
majo imp o emen s. Mul iple language op ions and a scheme o colou -blind use s
we e highly alued. Au oma ic ansmission o da a was conside ed he mos signi ican
imp o emen in unc ionali y o he EP3 de ice. Mean sco es among panel membe s o
pe cei ed use ulness, pe cei ed ease o use, pe cei ed ease o lea ning and in en o
use/ ecommend o he EP3 de ice s EP2 we e all ~4.25 ou o max 5 (5 = excellen ).
The expe panel ag eed ha new unc ionali ies in he EP3 easypod de ice
ep esen ed echnological p og ession. The ouch-sc een, be e isualiza ion, and
au oma ic da a ansmission we e conside ed key ea u es. The e olu ion o he easypod
de ice should enhance clinical decision-making and allow a mo e pe sonalized app oach
o he clinical managemen o child en and young people ecei ing GH he apy.
