Electrónica enREDada: An experience with a webinar program

Abstract

[EN] Information and communications technologies (ICTs) are an invaluable tool to facilitate meaningful learning. In this work, a webinar program (‘Electrónica enREDada’) is presented that complements the teachinglearning process in selected courses of electronics in degree and master studies in Physics. These webinars allow an innovative approach to the study of specialized topics, improving the training of the student and promoting his/her scientific knowledge in the field of electronics by means of specific and informative modules. This learning activity is part of a comprehensive strategy towards the implementation of e-learning activities in all courses taught at the Electronics area. This learning activity consists of two webinar modules: one being of a synchronous nature and specialized contents, and the other one of an asynchronous nature and featuring distributed learning, which is intended not only for students of physics but also of other related degrees.

Today’s socie y is imme sed in a ans o ma ion p ocess wi h e ec s a all di e en le els,
and which in pa icula is shaping scien i ic and echnological aspec s. As a consequence,
all e lec ions abou he e olu ion o educa ion need o ake in o accoun his con ex and
he c i ical ole ha he in o ma ion and communica ion echnologies (ICTs) will play in
highe educa ion (Pi amu hu, 2005; Regue as, 2009; Zúñiga, 2012). On he o he hand, he
shi o a eaching based on compe encies equi es a d as ic change in he concep ions and
habi s o bo h s uden s and eache s. No only a e ICTs a powe ul ool o acili a e asks
aken on by eache s owa ds he s uden s’ lea ning au onomy such as guiding and suppo ,
bu hey a e also widely used o c ea e spaces o p omo e a de ailed and sys ema ic analysis
o selec ed opics in each discipline (Ki kwood, 2005).
In he las yea s, many pedagogical inno a ion ac ions as well as he upda e and eno a ion
o eaching esou ces a e being ca ied ou . The mos ep esen a i e o his p ocess is he
ongoing inco po a ion o he majo i y o cou ses augh in all high educa ion ins i u ions
in o so wa e lea ning managemen sys ems such as Blackboa d o Moodle. This allows
ensu ing ha he use o ICTs in he cou ses is impo an and, he e o e, hey appea as one
o he me hodologies used in a numbe o o ma i e ac i i ies.

4. Conclusions
In he cu en amewo k o deg ees adap ed o he Eu opean Highe Educa ion A ea, i is

educa ional media. This p ocess mus be ealized in di e en ields, seeking ha he
s uden s achie e mo e au onomy in hei lea ning p ocess. In pa icula , an adequa e
