all e lec ions abou he e olu ion o educa ion need o ake in o accoun his con ex and
he c i ical ole ha he in o ma ion and communica ion echnologies (ICTs) will play in
highe educa ion (Pi amu hu, 2005; Regue as, 2009; Zúñiga, 2012). On he o he hand, he
shi o a eaching based on compe encies equi es a d as ic change in he concep ions and
habi s o bo h s uden s and eache s. No only a e ICTs a powe ul ool o acili a e asks
aken on by eache s owa ds he s uden s’ lea ning au onomy such as guiding and suppo ,
bu hey a e also widely used o c ea e spaces o p omo e a de ailed and sys ema ic analysis
o selec ed opics in each discipline (Ki kwood, 2005).
In he las yea s, many pedagogical inno a ion ac ions as well as he upda e and eno a ion
o eaching esou ces a e being ca ied ou . The mos ep esen a i e o his p ocess is he
ongoing inco po a ion o he majo i y o cou ses augh in all high educa ion ins i u ions
