Dėl kai kurių lietuvių vietovardžių „Gùdas“ radimosi aplinkybių, kilmės ir motyvacijos

Abstract

    Straipsnyje aptariamos kelių lietuvių vietovardžių Gùdas labiausiai tikėtinos kilmės versijos. Jas iškeliant kreipiamas dėmesys į visas toponimų užrašymo iš gyvosios kalbos aplinkybes, toponiminių mikrosistemų kontekstą, užrašytojų pateiktą papildomą su vietų vardais ir įvardijamais objektais susijusią informaciją, kuri palyginama su realiais istoriniais ir etnografiniais duomenimis. Remiantis pagal pasirinktą metodologiją atlikta analize, teigiama, kad dviejų Nemuno upėje ties Darsūniškiu ir Dvareliškių dvaru esančių akmenų vardų atsiradimas sietinas su istoriškai paliudytu sielių plukdymo iš Gudijos į Karaliaučių ir Rusnę faktu. Pabrėžiama, kad šiuo verslu užsiiminėjo ir gudų tautybės sielininkai. Todėl šiedu akmenų vardai kildinami iš etnonimo gùdas ‘baltarusis (kartais lenkas ar rusas); kitos tarmės žmogusʼ ir abejojama kitų tyrėjų paskelbta jų kilmės iš liet. gùdė ‘pustyklė, budėʼ, gudti ‘su gude galąstiʼ hipoteze.    Taip pat įrodinėjama, kad etnoniminės kilmės veikiausiai yra ir Pumpėnų bei Žemaitkiemio apylinkių vandenvardžiai Gùdas, kurie kai kurių kalbininkų kildinti iš balt. *guda- ‘(su)linkęsʼ, ‘besilankstantisʼ < balt. gud- ‘linktiʼ. Šis teiginys pirmu atveju grindžiamas kompaktiškos mikrosistemos vietovardžių su gud- tarpusavio ryšių, kilmės bei semantikos analizės duomenimis, o antruoju atveju – tos pačios gyvenvietės teritorijoje esančių potamonimų semantinės etnoniminio pobūdžio paralelės analize.
