Moterų pavardžių reforma lietuvių kalbos žodžių darybos aspektu

Abstract

Žodžių (taigi, ir asmenvardžių, pavardžių) daryba yra kalbos sistemos dalis. Todėl lietuviškos moterų pavardės turi atitikti tos sistemos numatytus dėsningumus. Dėl svarbių sociokultūrinių priežasčių (ne vien estetinių motyvų) norint tą sistemą reformuoti, būtina įvertinti lietuvių kalbos raidos perspektyvas ir numatyti galimas pokyčių pasekmes. Straipsnyje atkreipiamas dėmesys į lietuvių kalbos morfologijos (žodžių darybos) aspektus, kurie nutylimi arba ignoruojami diskusijose dėl siūlymo įteisinti lietuviškas moterų pavardes su galūne ‑(i)a. Svarstomas tradicijos ir sistemiškumo santykio klausimas. Šeiminio statuso nerodančių moteriškų pavardžių daryba su galūne -ė laikoma motyvuota išimtimi (dėl moteriškų ir vyriškų pavardžių formos sutapimo), tačiau ne precedentu, kuriuo galima remtis norint toliau reformuoti pavardžių sistemą.
