Role of Compensation Transparency and Communication in Building Trust with Employees

Abstract

Effective communication and compensation transparency are two of the most important elements that affect whether or not workers grow to trust and be committed to a company over the long run. Companies must promote transparency and clarity in pay methods in order to retain talent and fortify relationships in the highly competitive business climate of today, where employees have a variety of employment possibilities. This study looks at how organisational trust is affected by compensation-related factors such as policy clarity, pay equity, prompt communication, managerial assurance, and empathy when addressing employee issues. Employees are more likely to remain engaged and build trust in management when they believe that compensation policies are fair, open, and stated properly. This confidence eventually develops into advocacy, dedication, and lower turnover. The study concludes that increasing pay transparency involves more than just revealing numbers; it also entails establishing meaningful conversations that promote psychological safety. Organisations may establish trust, obtain a competitive edge, and guarantee long-term worker stability by emphasising transparency, equity, and clarity.
