Ea ing Diso de s – IV (IDED-IV; Ku lesic e al.,
1998).
Me hod: The Po uguese e sion o IDED-IV was
applied o 80 emales wi h AN diagnosis aging
be ween 12 and 34 y.o. The IDED-IV assesses he
p esence and he se e i y o speci ic symp oms o
ea ing diso de s. Each symp om is a ed in a scale
be ween 1 and 5. The le el 3 indica es he
pa hological p esence o he symp om.

The esul s sugges ed ha some a ings ha e mo e
signi ican con ibu ions o he IDED-IV o al
sco e, in conc e e: ea o gaining weigh (.64) and
eel a e en hough unde -weigh (.61). The low
weigh (.07) and he ameno hea (.19) symp oms
p esen ed a low con ibu ion o he o al sco e.
Conclusion: The esul s sugges ha ea o
gaining weigh and dis u bance in he way one’s
body weigh o shape is expe ienced ha e a highe
impac on AN se e i y and a e p obably cen al
c i e ia in he di e en ia ion o he AN om o he
