Description of the uploaded dataset
This file contains the description of the terms used in the dataset uploaded for the paper:

Integrating Selection History, Current Task Demands and Saliency in an Algorithmic
Model. Comput Brain Behav 7, 268–285 (2024). https://doi.org/10.1007/s42113-024-

Note. The data published here are taken from a data set that was analyzed as part of Experiment 1
in Feldmann-Wüstefeld, T., Uengoer, M., & Schubö, A. (2015). You see what you have learned.
Evidence for an interrelation of associative learning and visual selective attention. Psychophysiology,
52(11), 1483–1497. https://doi.org/10.1111/psyp.12514, data publication available at
https://zenodo.org/record/802947#.YJGmXugzbIU. Contrary to the analyses in this original study (c.f.
method section of Expt.1 in Feldmann-Wüstefeld et al. 2015), the data here comprise all trials, including
trials with very fast and slow responses.
Below, we provide definitions of the abbreviations used in the present dataset.
Each row of the excel file represents the data of one trial.
Group stands for group membership which can be either color group (CG) or shape group (SG).
Learning.RT(ms) stands for reaction time in the learning task in ms.
Search.RT(ms) stands for reaction time in the search task in ms.
TrialType stands for the trial type and can be either trials in the learning task (learning), search
task distractor-absent (Targ.only), or search task distractor-present (Targ. + Distr).
Learning.ACC and Search.ACC stand for response accuracy in learning and search trials. ‘1’
stands for correct response and ‘0’ stands for incorrect response.
Task stands for Task type. ‘TaskC’ is a search task and ‘TaskL’ is a learning task.
Pos1 to Pos8 stand for the positions of the objects in additional singleton paradigm used by
Feldmann-Wüstefeld et al. (2015, Exp.1)
