Lithuania, which started to take an interest in Logo ideas a decade ago, is becoming more and more involved in this wonderful field of science. In 1995-1997, the Open Lithuania Foundation took over the project “Logo for the School”. Then the Logo Writer system for DOS operating system was translated, two textbooks were prepared. The first one is a LogoWriter manual for both teachers and students. The second one is the computer project creation manual “I am learning Logo”. They were received by all Lithuanian general education schools that requested them. Two of the most popular Logo programs are Micro Worlds and Comenius Logo. The Comenius Logo computer program is the best way to understand the principles of algorithms and programming. It can be used to perform a wide variety of tasks, such as drawing pictures, creating melodies, drawing geometric shapes, performing mathematical calculations, modeling various language processes, etc. The two most recent publications —V. Dagienės „Logo pradžiamokslis“ (V., 2001, 143 p.) and A. Blaho, I. Kalaš’s book „Komenskio Logo: kūrybiškoji informatika“ (V., 2001, 356 p.) translated by V. Dagienė and G. Dagytė. This book has been translated into many world languages. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania purchased the Comenius Logo system license for all schools. Thanks to the well-known IT specialist V. Dagienė, this creative IT has also reached Lithuanian schools. Both books are very valuable. First of all, their correct language. On the other hand, they are also significant in terms of terminology. „Logos pradžiamokslys“ contains several glossaries:,,Lithuanian-English glossary of Comenius Logo commands“ (p. 84-87), „English-- Lithuanian glossary of Comenius Logo commands“ (p. 88-91), „Explanatory glossary of the main Comenius Logo commands“ (p. 92-111) and lists „Control commands“ (p. 111-120), „Actions with words and lists“ (p. 120-129), „Actions with masks“ (p. 129-132), „Various important commands“ (p. 133-142). 144 The two arrows in the book "Comenius Logo: Creative Informatics" will help students memorize the basic commands and get rid of jargon. Furthermore, these glossaries and indexes could be included in the dictionary of computer commands and applications currently being developed.
