The second part, Chapters of meaning, origin, synonymy, ambiguity, homonymy and variation of construction folk terms, consists of eight chapters and twenty-two subsections. This section examines the meaning, origin, synonymy, polysemy, homonymy and variation of terms. The entire material under investigation consists of the following important sections: 1) names of buildings, their parts and rooms, 2) names of building structures, 3) names of building fixtures, 4) names of fences and fences, 5) names of building materials, 6) names of construction tools, means and waste, 7) names of construction materials production sites, facilities and workshops, 8) names of construction craftsmen. The hierarchical arrangement is examined in terms of the relationship between genus and species and the whole and part. When distinguishing between generic and generic terms, the interpretations of the terms in the sources and the logical connections of the mentioned concepts are taken into account. This section also discusses the cases of hyponymous variation, which are intended to show the diversity of means of terminological expression. The synonymy of terms discusses the origin of terms and synonym strings. Separate attention is paid to metaphorical and metonymy terms. When analyzing the ambiguity of terms, the paradigmatic principle of semantic analysis is used, taking into account the relationships between terms. The last part of each chapter discusses the variation of the expression of terms. The dissertation is limited to cases where the variants differ only in one 254 Solvita Labanauskienė | sign.
