RABACIAUSKAITE One of the most peculiar types of creation of Lithuanian names are the so-called prepositional place names. These are composite place names, the first component of which is a preposition, the second a proper general noun or adjective, e.g. : 0 — ar At the stone pv. Antz, Po Misitinais pv. The prepositional compounds discussed in this article are constant. They are used as certain established place names. The second component of the prepositional pronoun goes only with a su certain preposition.
