315 CHAPTER-28 AI FOR EDUCATION: ENHANCING ACCESS AND QUALITY OF LEARNING Dr. Aniruddha Sarkar Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce Netaji Mahavidyalaya, Arambagh Abstract: - Increasing trends in the demands of education require innovation and creativity in the teaching-learning process for quality development of human resources. Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of education leads the enhancement of quality of daily activities including teaching and learning for education in this evolving and dynamic world. This research article makes an attempt to investigate the potential of AI to develop the curriculum that will ultimately help to understand how the different AI tools, including machine learning, data learning, virtual and augmented reality, automation, and so forth can be using to develop learning experiences and social outcomes. The study argued that AI resulted positive performance measure in academic performance, motivation and engagement, learning progression, and so forth. It explores how AI can enhance access and quality learning across educational settings all throughout the globe. The paper discusses how AI can provide personalize educational pathways, enhance the students’ engagement through customized learning, and improve overall educational effectiveness through continuous feedback mechanisms from all the stakeholders associated with this process. Introduction AI is the process of modelling human thinking and designing a machine after feeding a set of instructions, so it can behave like humans for the betterment and growth of human civilization around the whole universe. The advancement of human civilization coupled with the enormous progress of science and technology, teachers’ assignment such as correcting, student attendance, giving daily tests and exams, preparation of project report, explaining knowledge, making administrative reports and other systemic work, can be completed by the use of internet enabled technological devices. Teachers can save more energy and can focus more on non-systemic and research work to create a golden generation with more character and quality with natural intelligence, where robots cannot do it. Technology only runs systemically and is automated based on human commands, while the human mind, especially teachers deliver new knowledge through good research and project-based studies. Therefore, the teachers’ intelligence is unmatched and it can’t be copied with modern technologies with a set of programmes. Even AI that emerged in modern era, industrial revolution is the result of the creative minds of human natural intelligence. So, when we 316 compare, between the human natural intelligence and AI, there never have an equal position. Despite significant advancements in educational systems worldwide, many challenges persist, including inequalities in access, inefficiencies in teaching methodologies and teaching aids, and inadequate personalization to mitigate the diverse learning needs in the digitized society. The rapid evolution of AI technologies opens up new avenues to address these challenges and revolutionize the educational landscape for the advancement of quality in teaching-learning aptitude. AI encompasses a broad range of technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotic automation that transform various aspects of education from content delivery and student assessment to administrative tasks and educational resource management. By leveraging the power of AI, educational institutions can enhance the quality of instruction, improve student engagement and outcomes, and expand access by breaking down geographical barriers and provide high-quality educational resources to remote and underserved areas. AI transforms the 21st century from a speculative nation into a concrete reality and positive growth after highlighting its essentiality and uniqueness. Literature Review: After a thorough review of literature, the following few,on AI for education: enhancing access and quality of learning, are given below: - 1. Wang, S, et.al. (2024) seek insights into critical questions about the AI applications explored in the education field in learning and teaching, exchange of knowledge, etc. in the form of literature review. 2. Fitria, T.N. (2021) made an attempt to investigate AI in education especially in the teaching and learning process. The result shows that AI has been widely applied to various educational technology platforms viz. virtual mentor, voice assistant, google assistant, moocs, etc. AI that emerged as the industrial revolution is also the result of the creative minds of human natural intelligence. 3. Zu, Z. (2024) investigates the potential of AI for enhancing the learning experiences as well as students’ outcomes. The study confirms that AI result in positive outcome with positive performance measure, academic performance, motivation and engagement, learning progression and so forth. 4. Wiranegara, M. P. (2025) introduces the concept of AI in education, elaborate on its various applications for enhancing access and quality of learning, addresses the challenges and limitations present by these technologies and speculate on the future trajectory of AI in education setting. 5. Sain, H.Z. (2024) aims to explore the impact of AI technologies in education, focusing on how these tools can improve learning outcomes, access and support for educators. The study concludes that AI can be a powerful tool for improving educational equity and efficiency. 6. Patil, V. et.al. (2024) try to explore the use of AI for education, with a focus on its intersection with e-learning, digital technologies, intelligent internet, 317 and digital literacy. The article adds to the expanding research on the intersection of AI and sustainability, highlighting for significance of fairer and more sustainable. 7. Sarkar, A. (2025) made an attempt to investigate the awareness level and examine the government initiatives to implement the AI technologies in women entrepreneurs. Objective of the Study: - 1.To examine the relevance of AI on today’s education system. 2.To investigate how the access and quality of AI enhancing the teaching-learning process in the modern era of digitization. 3.To showcase the students’ involvement in the AI driven environment. Data Base and Methodology of the Study: - The study is based on secondary sources of information available time to time in various reputed journals, books, working papers and newspapers, etc. Internet surfing has also been made for gathering new ideas on AI for education. Simple study is made to gather information on AI and its role on education, access and quality of AI in teaching-learning process, and students’ involvement in the AI driven environment, etc. AI in Education • AI in education enables personalize learning, providing real-time, individualized guidance and content adaptation to enhance the learning experience for each student to motivate them to innovate more and more quality development tools and learning aids for the overall advancement in the human civilization. • AI not only improves student learning outcomes and engagement through tools like intelligent tutoring systems and adaptive learning platforms, etc. but also alleviates teachers’ administrative burdens, allowing them to focus on direct student interaction and pedagogy through advance learning tools and educational platforms. • While AI in education promises a transformative future for teaching and learning, it also raises significant ethical considerations including data privacy, potential biases, and the need to balance technology with essential human interaction to gather more knowledge that will ultimately help to enhance the quality of learning and research work. • Some school in various districts have restricted access to AI tools like ChatGPT, etc., due to concerns over academic integrity and the role of teachers, highlighting the ongoing debate regarding the integration of AI in education and the challenges face in balancing technological advancement with traditional teaching methods. But they have to adopt slowly but steadily these modern teaching-learning tools to be more competitive with global counterparts. 318 Enhancing Access through AI One of the primary advantages of AI is its potential to enhance access to education; particularly for underserved populations having grater interest in modern technology-based education open to all through the access of internet enabled android mobile phones. AI tools can bridge educational gaps in developed and developing countries, especially for individuals in remote areas or those with disabilities, by facilitating online learning opportunities through modern learning technology-based mechanism. Leveraging technologies in speech recognition, natural language processing, and machine learning, AI can experience learning for students with unique needs, thereby fostering inclusivity in teaching-learning process. Personalize learning platforms allow for the adjustment of lessons in realtime according to the learner's pace and comprehension, thus democratizing access for high-quality educational resources to become more competitive with developed society. Enhancing Learning Quality with AI AI significantly contributes for the quality of learning by providing personalized educational experiences through data analytics; AI algorithms can assess learning outcomes to optimize instructional strategies, thereby ensuring that teaching methods align with students' individual preferences and abilities to cater knowledge and expertise to be more aware about modern teaching aids. In this way, AI system can offer immediate and individualize feedback to learners, enhancing motivation and fostering a deeper understanding of the internet enabled teaching tools.
