Recibido: 23 de abril de 2025 Publicado on-line: 28 de abril de 2025 Aceptado: 26 de abril de 2025 Very recently, the first records of Geocoris amabilis Stål, 1855 (Heteroptera: Geocoridae) on the island of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain), which were the first records of the species for the archipelago, were reported (VAN DER HEYDEN, 2025). Geocoris amabilis is present on the island of Tenerife, too: On 04-04-2025, an adult specimen of the species (Fig. 1) was photographed by Salomé Estévez Domínguez in the Parque García Sanabria, located in El Toscal, a quarter of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the island. Four photographs of the specimen taken by Salomé Estévez Domínguez were uploaded to the online database iNaturalist by Daniel Rodríguez del Río (see here).
