FAIRmat's Support for Data Management Plans
Abstract
This presentation was delivered at the Infra-DMP working group meeting on September 26, 2025. It highlights FAIRmat’s activities in supporting the community with Data Management Plans (DMPs). The contributions include the FAIRmat Guide on writing DMPs, FAIRmat Tutorial 11 and its interactive session on DMPs, as well as the current progress in preparing an RDMO-based DMP template.

Current status: preparation of a template •Created the First draft of the FAIRmat template for DFG DMPs. •Added to the RDMO test-instance at HU. •Used the NFDI DMP template framework as guidance.
FAIRmat’s DMP template •Provides a structured DMP template aligned with DFG checklist. •Includes around 60 questions, with supporting guidance text. •Provides community-specific answer options to ensure relevance. •Guides researchers in describing datasets –whether newly generated, reused, or combined. •Harmonized the attributes with NFDI DMP Template Framework.
