DOI: Abstract: The title of the study is “The Influence of the Sun on the Prosperity of Government Doctors”. The horoscopes of government doctors are collected and the astrological rules stated in astrology for working as a government doctor are compared and examined in the collected horoscopes. The purpose of the study is to examine the influence of the Sun on the 10th house, which is the career house, and the Dasamsa varga, which gives detailed results about the career, in the horoscopes of government doctors. Introduction: Medicine is the study of human health, disease, and the methods used to treat them. It is intertwined with the science and culture of a society or humanity. In ancient times, people developed their own medical systems based on the natural resources and food types in their areas. This includes traditional medical systems that originated in different parts of the world. For example, Indian Ayurveda, Siddha medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, and Greek medicine. Common diseases and epidemics have studied the impact of major epidemics that have affected humanity over time, such as cholera, smallpox, and malaria, on society, and found remedies for those diseases. In India, traditional medical systems such as Ayurveda and Siddha medicine have been practiced for thousands of years. Ancient physicians such as Charaka and Susurutha are considered pioneers in diagnosis and surgery, respectively. particularly Susurutha, described several surgical techniques, which formed the basis of modern surgery. Today, medicine is a global, formalized field. A person can practice as a doctor only after receiving proper education and training through medical colleges. Various specialties (cardiology, neurology, surgery, pediatrics, etc.) have emerged. With the development of technology, diagnosis, treatment, and surgery have become more precise and safer. The concept of government doctors is closely associated with the government's responsibility to provide health services to the citizens of a nation. particularly in India, the history of government doctors began with British colonial rule and developed into a strong public health system after independence. In ancient India, kings and the wealthy patronized medical scholars (vaidyas). They served as court physicians. However, there is little evidence of formal, organized hospitals and health systems for the general public. Some rulers, such as King Ashoka, are said to have established hospitals for people and animals, but they were not widespread. When the British came to India for trade, they brought European doctors (Surgeons) with them to meet the medical needs of their soldiers and officers. These doctors initially worked under the East India Company. This was the beginning of the concept of government doctors in India. After 1857, the Indian Medical Service (IMS) was formed. It was a military medical service consisting of British and Indian doctors. However, the doctors under this also provided medical services to civilians. Most of the top positions were reserved for the British. The first medical colleges were established in cities like Chennai (1835), Kolkata and Bombay. Indians were trained in Western medicine. These doctors were appointed as para-medical staff (para-medical officers). During this period, dispensaries and hospitals were established at the district and sub-district levels and government doctors were appointed. After independence, the government of India took it upon itself to provide health services to its citizens. As a result, government medical colleges, research institutes, dental clinics and rural health centres were established across the country. Government doctors formed the backbone of these institutions. Rural health services were further strengthened through schemes like the National Rural Health Mission. Schemes like Ayushman Bharat have further increased the role of public hospitals and the doctors working in them. The history of government doctors is a long journey full of challenges. They serve a large population, especially the poor and vulnerable, with limited resources. Their contribution to improving public health, controlling infectious diseases, and providing medical care in rural areas is immense. Medicine and Astrology: Once upon a time, the word 'Vaidhiyar' was used instead of the word doctor in our country. Before the advent of the English medical system, Vaidhiyar used to find herbs, roots, vegetables, etc., mature them, mix them in the right quantities and turn them into medicines to cure diseases and treat people. Because medicinal plants, roots, herbs, etc. should be matured and prepared for medicine by looking at the day, star, and date. They also calculated the day and date stars on which the patient should take the medicine. Thus, medicine and astrology worked together at that time. But with the scientific development that occurred in the last century, the English system of medicine, allopathy, has become famous worldwide. The medical and surgical system has revolutionized the modern world. Therefore, this course has also gained great popularity worldwide. Even in our country, the need and interest in medical education is constantly increasing. If one wants to become a doctor, one has to pass the entrance examination for medical education, after which one has to complete medical education and then serve as a doctor. Thus, for a person to pass the entrance exam, successfully study medicine for 5 years, join the government service, and serve as a government doctor, the planetary arrangements should be favourable. According to the astrological rules, one can see in detail what kind of planetary arrangements are favourable for a person to serve as a government doctor. Conclusion: The study titled “The Influence of the Sun on the Prosperity of Government Doctors” collected and studied the horoscopes of government doctors. As a result of the study, three rules in astrology are the main reasons for a person to work as a government doctor. They are rule number 1) The Sun is in Connection with the 10th house or the lord of the 10th house. Rule number 2) The Sun is in Connection with Dasamsa Lagna lord. Rule number 3) The sun connection with 10th house of dasamsa and 10th house lord of dasamsa. According to the above rules, the Sun’s influence is more visible in the 10th house, which is the professional position for a person to work as a government doctor, and in the 10th house, which is the comprehensive result of the profession. This study shows that the Sun plays a major role in the benefits of government doctors, as it is generally said that the Sun plays a role in all government-related matters, such as government, government-related work, the king, government employees, and doctors.
