The talk highlighted the increasing frequency of extreme weather events, the potential of aquifer storage, and the NaBa-MAR® concept for sustainable water management. The presentation emphasized the importance of integrating groundwater processes and leveraging innovative strategies to mitigate climate change impacts. Insights into Hungarian Groundwater Knowledge 🌍 Over 70% of participants correctly answered five essential questions about groundwater movement speed, pollution distribution, and the connection between groundwater levels, climate change, and desertification 🌊 Only 38.2% understood that surface water and groundwater form a single integrated system. 🚫 A strong misconception persists, with only 10.5% dismissing the false idea that groundwater exists exclusively within confined and unconfined strata split by impervious barriers.
