IUGONET project •The project aims to share upper atmospheric data that have been separately archived by various Japanese universities and institutes, and to accelerate research in the Solar-Terrestrial Physics (STP) field. •We have developed advanced tools, including a metadata database and analysis software, which facilitate data sharing and enable comprehensive data analysis. Recently published data 4 IHDEA2025 The metadata for the newly published data will be created in SPASE 2.6.1 (or updated to 2.7.0) and registered in the IUGONET metadata database. Institutions Published data NIPR • Atmospheric electric field at Syowa • High-speed auroral imager data at Iceland • Polar cap auroral imagers’ data in Antarctica • Muon detector data at Nagoya station • Other NIPR data in 2024-2025 ISEE , Nagoya Univ. • Induction magnetometer data at Kagoshima (Japan) and Canger (Indonesia) • Fluxgate magnetometer data at New Zeeland • VLF spectral data in Finland • OMTI and ZWO images at STO, Norway • All-sky imager data in Egypt • Other ISEE data in 2024-2025 WDC for Geomag., Kyoto Univ. • Provisional AE index • WDC geomagnetic field data and geomagnetic indices in 2024-2025 i -SPES, Kyushu Univ. • MAGDAS magnetic field data in 2024-2025 Astronomical Observatory, Kyoto Univ. • Multi-wavelength solar full-disk chromospheric images in 2024-2025
Development of IUGONET Plugin for PySPEDAS •More than 20 load routines for the upper atmospheric data (from magnetometers, all-sky imagers, radars, riometers, etc.) are available on GitHub. •We hope to incorporate the plugin into PySPEDAS in near future. DOI Registration System •Using the DOI registration system developed by NICT, the SPASE-format metadata registered in the IUGONET database can be converted into Japan Link Center (JaLC) metadata and assigned DOIs. •IUGONET joined as an associate member of JaLC. •This system enables seamless DOI registration to data held by IUGONET institutions. 8 cv cv cv cv cv cv cv cv cv cv cv Metadata (SPASE) DOI registration system (1) Convert metadata (2) Create landing page Mapping table Template Metadata (JaLC) (3) Embed URL (4) Register DOI IHDEA2025
