The objective is to develop strategies that enhance the productivity, sustainability, profitability, and adaptability of fragile goat agropastoralism systems. This will be achieved through a systemic approach that integrates assessments from farm to global scales, connecting agro-ecosystems, socio-economic components, and information systems, with a focus on the multifunctionality of resilient agropastoralism. Taking into consideration the quality, typicality and the safety of goat meat, especially from goats characterized with extensive and semi-extensive farming systems, and viewing the increasing demand for these natural products. This work based on the literature review proves the typicity, the quality and the safety of goats’ meat from agro-pastoralism system in our region with the aim to add value to goat meat using innovative methods such as biopreservation strategies and the production of new products from goat meat.
