Read more here Subscribe Past Issues Translate On Tuesday, September 10, 3:30-4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), the NIH RADx Data Hub Partners will host the first office hours for the newly upgraded RADx Data Hub. Connect live with RADx Data Hub developers to get hands-on support navigating the Hub and exploring all it has to offer. The NIH announced NOT-OD-24-096: Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Promoting Data Reuse for Health Research. The next application deadline is November 4, 2024. This NOSI supports data reuse and secondary data analysis to address pivotal health research questions. Research must include data from at least one publicly accessible, NIH-funded data repository or knowledgebase, such as the RADx Data Hub. The Day 1 and Day 2 videocasts cover many topics, including: the NIH Director’s Report and budget and legislative update, an update on long covid, and insight on building and maintaining NIH data communities. NIH Issues RFI to Help Implement Specific ACD Recommendations The NIH issued a follow-up Request for Information (RFI) to help get biomedical research community feedback for implementing the Advisory Committee to the Director (ACD) recommendations regarding re-envisioning NIH-supported postdoctoral training. Feedback is accepted electronically until October 23, 2024. Access the Updated NIAID HIV Language Guide The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) released an updated HIV Language Guide (May 2024) to use in all communications, such as grant applications, publications, and presentations. This guide's relevance extends beyond HIV, addressing language related to other diseases, research areas, and gender topics. NIAID encourages all staff, researchers, and stakeholders to use this communication guide. NIH Training Grant Opportunities The NIH sponsors various grant programs, providing researchrelated support or access to resources, including research grants, career development awards, research training and fellowships, center grants, and more.
