Abstract

ABSTRACT : This study aims to analyze the influence of education, health, and work environment on the work productivity of Indonesian Air Force members at Atang Sendjaja Air Base, Bogor. Work productivity is viewed as a tangible outcome of an individual's effectiveness and efficiency in performing their duties. The research approach uses a quantitative method with a causal-comparative design, involving 65 respondents who are members of Atang Sendjaja Air Base. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS software version 25.0 for multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that the variables of education, health, and work environment have a significant and simultaneous effect on the work productivity of members. Partially, the three variables also show a positive and significant influence, with education being the most dominant variable in increasing work productivity. This indicates that the higher the level of education of members, the better their ability to understand, implement, and improve the quality of work in a military environment. Based on the results of this study, efforts to enhance the work productivity of Indonesian Air Force members should focus on developing continuing education, improving occupational health, and creating a safe and comfortable work environment that fosters collaboration among members. This research makes a practical contribution to the formulation of human resource development policies at Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base, Bogor. It provides a theoretical basis for further research in the field of military human resource management.

INTRODUCTION In today's era of globalization, the quality of human resources is a concern. In determining success i n a n organization, an organization can develop (advance) due to the ability of its members to produce high performance. The higher the work productivity of its members , the more successf u l t h e organization will be. Wati & Rahman (2020). In an era of increasingly fierce global competition, increasing work productivity is a necessity for every company to survive and thrive. In this context, work productivity reflects the concrete behavior demonstrated by each individual as a whole. Achievement work results that members do in accordance with their role in an agency. This also includes the level of effectiveness and efficiency demonstrated by members in carrying out daily tasks in an organization or company during a particular period (Sari et al., 2020; Husain et al., 2022). According to the Encyclopedia Britannica (Sedarmayanti, 2019), productivity in economics refers to the ratio of the results achieved to the resources or sacrifices made to produce something. The general definition of work productivity is the comparison between the results achieved (output) and the total human resources used (input). According to Sedarmayanti (2019: 72), several factors can influence member work productivity, namely education, health, and the work environment. Striving for high member work productivity is not easy, as many factors influence it, including education, health, and the work environment. Actually, many more factors can influence member work productivity, but researchers in this study... This focuses solely on the three factors above. The first factor that influences work productivity is that members are educated. In general, people with higher education will have a broader insight, especially an appreciation for the importance of productivity. Education here can encompass both formal and informal learning. In certain aspects, the higher a member's education, the better their ability to work and utilize work facilities. Members will “Increasing The Work Productivity of Indonesian Air Force Members Through Education, Health, And the Environment” 4765 Benarche Bashofi1, IJMEI Volume 11 Issue 10 October 2025 be more skilled if they possess sufficient skills (ability) and experience. The gap between the competencies of educational graduates and the needs of the workforce is a significant obstacle to increasing productivity. Health Work is a discipline that focuses on the identification, evaluation, and control of factors that can influence the health and safety of workers in the workplace. The aim is to create a safe and healthy working environment for members, thereby preventing work accidents and occupational diseases. Work to improve the welfare and productivity of workers. Stress Work Prolonged stress can trigger various health problems, such as depression and anxiety, which ultimately reduce work productivity. Based on the background of the problem, this research aims to describe the education, health, environment, and work productivity of members of Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base, Bogor. Analyze the level of significance of education, health, and the environment, simultaneously having a significant influence on the work productivity of members of Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base, Bogor. Analyze the level of significance of education, health, and the environment, which partially have a significant influence on the work productivity of Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base Members in Bogor. Analyze which variables of education, health, and environment have a dominant influence on the work productivity of Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base Members in Bogor. The expected results of this research are for Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base, Bogor: In practical terms, it can be used as input for practitioners and the Atang Sendjaja Bogor Air Force Base, so that they can find out how members' attitudes towards education, health, and environmental variables affect members' work productivity and can also be used as a reference in taking strategic steps to increase the work productivity of Atang Sendjaja Bogor Air Force Base members. For the following researchers: Increasing insight in the field of human resource management, especially regarding the influence of education, health, and the environment on the work productivity of Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base Members in Bogor. As a form of direct application of theories regarding education, health, environment, and work productivity of Atang Air Force Base members. Apply the knowledge gained from Sendjaja Bogor lectures to real field situations. For the Development of Science: Theoretically related to the development of science, especially related to education, health, environment, and work productivity of Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base Members in Bogor. LITERATURE REVIEW Productivity Work: Sukardi (2021) states that work productivity is an individual's success in carrying out their duties, which can be measured in terms of the dimensions of engagement, planning skills, effort in work, and overall work productivity of members. Setiawan (2021) states that work productivity is the comparison between output (results) and input (inputs). If productivity increases, it is only possible through enhanced efficiency (in terms of time, materials, and labor) and improved work systems, production techniques, and increased skills among the workforce. Kustini and Sari (2020) state that work productivity is the ability to produce goods or services from various resources and abilities possessed by each worker or member. Setya (2018) stated that work productivity is a measuring tool to determine the extent to which resources in an organization are empowered to maximize work performance at the minimum cost. Wirawan et al (2018) stated that work productivity is a comparison between results achieved with market power, work per unit time, and as a benchmark of the expansion and activity of the attitude of the sources used during productivity, by comparing the amount produced with each source used. Education: According to Ki Hajar Dewantara, the definition of education is the process of guiding all the natural powers that exist in children, so that they, as human beings and as members of society, can achieve the highest possible safety and happiness. According to Carter V. Good, education is the process of developing an individual's skills, social attitudes, and behavior. It is a social process in which a person is influenced by an organized environment, such as a home or school, to develop self-awareness and social skills. According to Crow and Crow, the definition of education is a process that encompasses various activities suitable for individuals in their social lives, helping to pass on customs, culture, and social institutions from one generation to the next. Based on the understanding of education presented above, the researcher concludes that education is a combination of growth, self-development, and social heritage. Health: The World Health Organization (WHO) broadly defines health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (disability). Knowledge of the concept of health is subjective, where each person, group, public, ethnic, and social status has its own viewich can be uwhich cand become a reference for the government, especially health progin health often seem to be incompatible with the public's wthe public's,willa traditional health care culture that is still highly respected and used as a guideline for daily life behavior in addressing various health problems of individuals, families, and communities (Achmadi, 1998; Akbar, 2019). “Increasing The Work Productivity of Indonesian Air Force Members Through Education, Health, And the Environment” 4766 Benarche Bashofi1, IJMEI Volume 11 Issue 10 October 2025 Understanding Environment: According to the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), the definition of environment encompasses several things. First, the environment refers to the area or region within which a community is situated. Second, the environment is a part of a region within a subdistrict, which involves environmental Work implementation by the village government. Third, the environment encompasses everything that influences the growth and development of humans and animals. Bintarto defines the environment simply as everything surrounding human life, including both tangible and intangible objects. These objects both influence and are influenced by the attitudes and actions of individuals. Man. J. McNaughton and Larry L. Wolf explain that the definition of environment is all external factors. The factors referred to are whether it is good and whether it involves physics or biology. These factors have a direct influence on life, such as the growth, development, and reproductive activities of an organism. Based on the opinion of an expert, it can be concluded that the environment is part of the overall, which relates to each other. What is the relationship between living things and non-living things? METHOD 3.1 Design Study The research design is quantitative, meaning it involves a hypothesis. To test the hypothesis, statistical tools are required. The responsibility indicator consists of two questionnaires, with the highest score being 52 or 54.7%, and the lowest score being 2 or 2.1% of respondents. The work environment variables consist of five indicators: lighting, air quality, work facilities, relationships with coworkers, and safety. The lighting indicators consist of two questionnaires. With Mark, the largest is 54 or 56.8, and the smallest is as low as 2 or 2.1% of respondents. The air conditioning indicator consists of two questionnaires, with the highest value at 52% or 54.7% among respondents, and the lowest at 2% or 2.1%. The work facilities indicator consists of two questionnaires, with the highest value of 54 or 56.8% and the lowest of 4 or 4.2% of respondents. The relationship with coworkers indicator consists of two questionnaires, with the highest value of 59 or 62.1% and the lowest of 2 or 2.1% of respondents. The security indicator consists of two questionnaires, with the highest value at 46% or 48.4% among respondents, and the lowest at 6% or 6.3% among respondents. Variable performance consists of five indicators: quality of work, quantity of work, responsibility, cooperation, and initiative. Work quality indicators consist of questionnaires with a marking scale ranging from 0.5% to “Increasing The Work Productivity of Indonesian Air Force Members Through Education, Health, And the Environment” 4768 Benarche Bashofi1, IJMEI Volume 11 Issue 10 October 2025 4.2% among residents. Work consists of two questionnaires, with the highest value at 50% or 52.6% and the lowest at 1% or 1.1% of respondents. The initiative indicator consists of two questionnaires, with the highest value at 55% or 57.9% among respondents, and the lowest at 5% or 5.3% among respondents. Multicollinearity is a condition where a regression equation exhibits a high correlation between independent variables. To identify symptoms of multicollinearity, look at the VIF value. The VIF value must be less than 10 to be considered free of symptoms of multicollinearity. Table 4. Collinearity Statistics Variables Free / Independent Collinearity Statistics Tolerance VIF Education 0.899 1,112 Health 0.620 1,612 Environment 0.576 1,736 Based on the VIF calculation above, it can be seen that all independent variables — namely, education, health, and environment — have VIF values below 10, indicating that multicollinearity does not occur. Results Regression Linear Multiple Results analysis regression linear multiple between variables education, health, and environment on the work productivity of members at Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base, Bogor, are explained in the table below: Based on the table, the regression models are as follows: Y = 23,439 + 0.088X1 + 0.058X2 + 0.210X3 + e. The testing in this study employed the F-test. The F-test was used to dete r mine whether all independent variables influence the dependent variable. The test was conducted using the Fdistribution test, specifically by comparing the critical Fvalue (from the F-table) with the calculated F-value contained in the ANOVA table. The F-test helps test whether the education variables (X1), health (X2), and the environment (X3) together influence the work productivity of members (Y). The method used as a reference or guideline for conducting hypothesis testing in the F-test is by comparing the significance value (sig.) or the probability value of the ANOVA output results, if the sig. Value <0.005, then the hypothesis is accepted; if the significance value >0.005, then the hypothesis is rejected— results obtained in the study. Based on the results of the F-test from the table, it can be seen that the calculated F-value is 4.751 with a significance level of <0.001, while the F-table value for α = 0.05 and df = 60 is 3.09. A comparison of the calculated F value with the F table shows that it is greater (calculated F = 4.751 > F table = 3.94). Also, the sig. Value <0.001 is less than the researcher's error rate of 0.05 or 5%. Therefore, it can be concluded that education, health, and the work environment have a significant impact on member performance. The first research hypothesis can be proven. 4.2 Discussion Education is measured by four indicators: promotion, achievement, awards, and recognition. Some respondents chose the promotion indicator. St people tend to agree that they are happy working or doing the right thing for e duration of t h e t e a m , on the indicator o f performance, most respondents tend to strongly agree with the statement that leaders always pay attention to the performance of members Regarding the indicator award, most respondents strongly agree with the statement that tasks must be completed on time to receive an award In the recognition indicator, most respondents strongly agree with the statement that they feel fulfilled in their current work position Health is measured by five indicators: attendance level, work procedures, obedience to superiors, work awareness, and responsibility Respondents tended to agree strongly with the attendance level indicator The statement comes into place at the appropriate time On the indicator, respondents tend to strongly agree with the statement that they always comply with regulations about procedures that apply In the indicator of obedience to superiors, respondents tended to agree with the statement that they obey the rules set by their leaders In the indicator of work awareness, respondents tended to agree with the statement that they complete work tasks daily The indicator is not quite enough Respondents agree strongly with the statement that they can complete the task within the specified time. The work environment is measured by five indicators: lighting, temperature, air quality, relationships with colleagues, and the overall work environment. Respondents tend to agree strongly with the statement that lighting is already in place and meets the relevant standards For the air condition indicator, respondents tended to strongly agree with the statement that the air in the workplace is clean and cool For the work facilities indicator, respondents tended to strongly agree with the statement that the facility provided a complete “Increasing The Work Productivity of Indonesian Air Force Members Through Education, Health, And the Environment” 4769 Benarche Bashofi1, IJMEI Volume 11 Issue 10 October 2025 work environment, which functioned well Regarding the relationship with coworkers indicator, respondents tended to strongly agree with the statement that communication between members is running well Regarding the security indicator, respondents tended to strongly agree with the statement that members are safe from intimidation. Work productivity is measured by five indicators: quality, quantity, responsibility, cooperation, and initiative. Respondents tended to strongly agree with the statement "Work carefully and minimize errors in work." Respondents tended to strongly agree with the statement "Work quantity meets agency expectations." Respondents tended to strongly agree with the statement "Complete assigned work correctly until completion." According to the statement of work, the same respondents agree very easily with the statement. The same respondents agree very easily on the statement of easy work. The same respondents tend to agree on the part or division. Regarding the indicator initiative, respondents tend strongly to agree with the statement, indicating a willingness to work without being ordered by superiors.
