Termiz davlat pedagogika insitituti Maktabgacha ta’lim kafedrasi o‘qituvchisi ABSTRACT The development of professional and personal qualities in future educators is one of the key priorities in modern pedagogical education. The effectiveness of the entire educational process largely depends on the teacher’s personality, their professional competence, moral values, creativity, and communication skills. However, there are still a number of problems and challenges that hinder the full formation of these qualities among students in pedagogical institutions. This study examines the existing issues in developing professional and personal competencies of future educators, including insufficient practical training, the lack of innovative teaching methods, limited opportunities for self-development, and the weak integration of theory and practice. Another challenge lies in the insufficient focus on nurturing emotional intelligence, leadership skills, and reflective thinking, which are crucial for working effectively with children and parents in today’s dynamic educational environment. The paper also discusses ways to overcome these problems — such as introducing practice-oriented learning, enhancing mentorship programs, fostering a humanistic and creative educational environment, and encouraging continuous self-education and professional reflection among students. The research emphasizes that the formation of a competent, empathetic, and responsible educator requires a holistic approach that combines academic preparation with personal growth and ethical development. In our country, the system of preschool education and upbringing is considered one of the main sources for increasing the intellectual potential of society. Educators and teachers hold a central place in this system, as they determine the future of the younger generation and the progress of society as a whole. Comprehensive measures are being implemented to ensure that future preschool educators receive education and professional training that meet international standards, to develop their professional and personal qualities, to help them establish a worthy civic position in society, and to realize their creative potential. At the core of these efforts lies the goal of nurturing a healthy generation and ensuring their proper moral, intellectual, and emotional development.
