International Journal of Agricultural Research, 14(1), 102–110. Improving the quality of seeds is one of the main factors in increasing the productivity of cereal crops. Seed germination, germination energy, and initial growth vigor are important stages that determine subsequent growth and development. Therefore, the preliminary treatment of seeds with various biologically active substances is widely used to enhance germination and produce strong seedlings. Triazole derivatives are compounds that regulate physiological processes in plants. On the one hand, they are used as broad-spectrum fungicides; on the other hand, they are also significant as growth regulators. Studying the effect of these compounds on seeds is both scientifically and practically important. Literature Review In recent years, studies have shown that triazole derivatives not only combat diseases but also significantly influence plant growth and development. Their main mechanism involves regulating the biosynthesis of phytohormones, increasing the activity of antioxidant enzymes, and enhancing stress tolerance (Ivanova, 2018). In experiments conducted by Gupta and Singh (2019), paclobutrazol was found to increase wheat seed germination as well as significantly enhance the initial biomass of the plants. Similarly, JOURNAL OF IQRO – ЖУРНАЛ ИҚРО – IQRO JURNALI – volume 18, issue 01, 2025 ISSN: 2181-4341, IMPACT FACTOR ( RESEARCH BIB ) – 7,245, SJIF – 5,431 www.wordlyknowledge.uz ILMIY METODIK JURNAL Karimov (2020) in Uzbekistan reported that low concentrations of triazole derivatives improved wheat seed germination and growth energy, while higher concentrations had inhibitory effects. Therefore, determining the effect of triazole derivatives on seed germination and identifying optimal concentrations is an important issue. Materials and Methods The study was conducted in 2025 at the laboratory of Tashkent State Agrarian University. Object: Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) seeds. Preparations: Aqueous solutions of paclobutrazol and propiconazole. Variants: Control (pure water) 0.01% paclobutrazol 0.05% paclobutrazol 0.01% propiconazole 0.05% propiconazole The seeds were soaked in the solutions for 6 hours and then placed on moist filter paper in Petri dishes for germination. One hundred seeds were used in each variant. The experiment was repeated three times. Germination was recorded on the 7th and 14th days, and root and shoot length as well as biomass were measured. Results The findings were as follows: In the control group, seed germination averaged 82%. Treatment with 0.01% paclobutrazol increased germination to 88%, and average root length was 15% greater than in the control. The 0.05% paclobutrazol solution, being a higher concentration, reduced germination to 79%. A 0.01% propiconazole solution increased germination to 85%, with root length 12% longer than the control. A 0.05% propiconazole solution showed a slight inhibitory effect, with germination reduced to 80%. Overall, the results indicate that triazole derivatives have a stimulatory effect at low concentrations, while higher concentrations exhibit phytotoxic effects. For example, Ivanova (2018) also reported that low concentrations of triazole derivatives accelerate plant growth, while higher concentrations inhibit it. Our research results show that the preliminary treatment of seeds with triazoles may be effective. Practically, these results are important for improving seed production and farming, increasing crop yields, and producing strong and healthy seedlings. At the same time, the use of high concentrations should be avoided, as they may lead to negative outcomes. List of References: Ivanova N., Petrov A. (2018).
