Abstract
This poster was created by members of the Preservation Expert Group (PEG), part of the Digital Research Alliance of Canada’s Network of Experts, for World Digital Preservation Day 2025. The aim of the poster is to highlight the need for digital preservation by using concepts that are familiar to people. AI was used in the generation of images.

Digital preservation means that the findings of a 10year research project can be understood, used and validated for 10 years and beyond. Tested backup and recovery means that a 10-year research project can recover its data if servers fail.
