Fostering leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, personal growth, and effective time management skills in young individuals has become increasingly important, and plays a vital role in equipping them to deal with future challenges. Annotatsiya: ushbu tezisda yoshlarda liderlik ko‘nikmalarini shakllantirishning ahamiyati, maktab o‘quv dasturiga manejment fanini rasmiy fan sifatida kiritishda yuzaga keladigan pedagogik va institutsional muammolar va bu jarayonning talabalarda liderlik va amaliy ko‘nikmalarni rivojlantirishda potensial ta’siri o‘rganiladi. Yoshlarda liderlik, hamkorlik, tanqidiy fikrlash, shaxsiy rivojlanish va vaqtni samarali boshqarish kabi ko‘nikmalarini rivojlantirish muhim ahamiyatga ega bo‘lib, kelajakdagi muammolarni hal qilishda muhim rol o‘ynaydi. Аннотация: в тезисе анализируется значимость развития лидерских навыков у молодежи, педагогические и институциональные проблемы, связанные с внедрением изучения менеджмента в школьные программы как отдельного предмета, а также подчеркивает его потенциальное влияние на развитие лидерских качеств и практических компетенций учащихся. Развитие у молодых людей лидерских навыков, навыков сотрудничества, критического мышления, личностного роста и эффективного управления временем становится все более важным и играет ключевую роль в подготовке их к решению будущих задач. In today’s rapidly evolving global world, traditional school education alone is insufficient to prepare students for employment and long-term success. Therefore, Vol.3 №10 (2025). October Journal of Effective innovativepublication.uz Learning and Sustainable Innovation 698 governments should design and implement comprehensive educational frameworks that cultivate the full range of skills necessary for professional and personal achievement. Initiatives such as introducing management lessons, promoting projectbased learning, and expanding student leadership clubs to schools can significantly enhance young people’s ability to develop practical, collaborative, and leadershiporiented competencies. Among the essential abilities, leadership plays a key role in helping students grow into confident and responsible individuals, who can inspire and guide others. As we know, it is not an inborn talent limited to a few, but a skill that can be learn and strengthen through experience. Hence, it is essential that leadership skills be introduced and nurtured from an early age. Schools should create structured learning experiences that enable every student to cultivate these competencies through interactive activities, teamwork, and guided practice within regular lessons. If schools equip children not only with academic knowledge but also with essential life and leadership skills, young people will be better able to apply what they learn, communicate effectively, become more socially integrated, stay motivated, and manage their lives strategically and responsibly. To attain this goal, school curricula should emphasize project-based approaches and foster students’ abilities to work effectively in teams. Increasingly, countries are introducing initiatives to train students in management and leadership. For example, Finland’s program for school leaders and students encourages participative leadership and innovation by utilizing workshops, case studies, and experiential learning activities. Singapore’s National Youth Council offers leadership programs for secondary and preuniversity students, designed to cultivate problem-solving, creative thinking, and leadership abilities via workshops and community-based initiatives. South Korea also provides the Youth Leadership Academy for middle and high school students. The programs focus to enhance students’ communication and decision-making abilities through workshops, mentoring sessions, and collaborative team projects. The Encounters with Canada – Student Leadership Program in Canada engages high school students in developing leadership, collaboration, civic engagement, and management skills by means of group projects and experiential simulations. Although Uzbekistan has not yet introduced a separate subject dedicated to leadership and management education in schools, recent national reforms—such as the 2025 Transformative Initiative to Improve Learning Outcomes and Promote Inclusive, Competency-Based Education – reflect the country’s growing focus on developing Vol.3 №10 (2025). October Journal of Effective innovativepublication.uz Learning and Sustainable Innovation 699 essential competencies, including collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which form the foundation for effective leadership and management skills. The transformation of the school education system and the introduction of management lessons encounter several challenges. One major issue is the shortage of qualified educators, since effective management instruction requires teachers to have both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in leadership and project management. A further challenge is the limited availability of resources and instructional materials, such as textbooks, case studies, and tools for project-based learning, which are vital for experiential education. Cultural and institutional factors also play a significant role; traditional hierarchical school structures and a strong focus on rote memorization can restrict students’ opportunities to actively engage, make independent decisions, and develop leadership skills. Overcoming these obstacles is essential for the successful incorporation of management education into school curricula. As noted previously, preparing young people with the competencies and professional skills required by the modern world is essential. Consequently, school curricula should incorporate key skills such as management, leadership, creativity, teamwork, problemsolving, public speaking, project management, and effective time management, as these are critical for students’ overall development and future employability.
