The affections may assume a variety of modifications. Skin is not just the dermis but it has its muscles, blood vessels, lymphatic system, neuro-receptors, glands, hair and hair follicles. Its physiology and its participation in our many physiological functions like respiration, metabolism and its protective functions are scientifically well known. With such complex interlinks, it's not surprising that many persons believe that health of the skin is reflective of total health. Many factors can influence the skin's health. Purulent skin conditions or suppurative tendencies are observed in many skin diseases like eczema, different forms of dermatitis, rosacea and erythema. Acne is one very common condition which is faced by many growing adults within this pathological condition. In acne, greasy plugs accumulate in the duct of sebaceous glands particularly those of face, shoulders and back. They are also called comedones or black heads. The condition is common to both sexes in the age group of 15-30. It should not be neglected because it leaves permanent scarring and disfigurement of the face. This combination of five drugs is effective in the cases of acne and boils. It helps in healing abscess and lowers the formation of pus by eliminating the infection or other causative factors. The complex tones up other bodily physiological processes to promote healthy skin. Indications: Chronic purulent skin condition, acne vulgaris. Composition Each tablet of 250 mg contains: Apis mellifica 6x 25 mg Hepar sulphur 3x 25 mg Calcarea hypophosphorosa 2x 25 mg Echinacea angustifolia 1x 25 mg Silicea 3x 25 mg Lactose Q.S. Proven indications of the individual ingredients in the sphere of claimed action: Apis mellifica: A randomized, double-blind study by Han et al. found that cosmetics containing purified bee venom reduced Propionibacterium acnes counts by 6 log units at 0.5 mg and completely eradicated bacteria above 1.0 mg, while decreasing skin microorganism ATP levels by 57.5% and significantly lowering lesion counts over 2 weeks (P = 0.027). These results align with Apis mellifica's traditional use for soothing sore, sensitive swelling that is oedematous, puffed, and painful, often with a red-rosy hue and occasional effusion. Hepar sulphur: A clinical case study (Kumar., 2024) found that Hepar sulphur 30C led to complete resolution of abscesses, suppurating papules, and oozing vesicles within four weeks, with cessation of discharge and marked relief of burning and itching. These results support its traditional indication for painful, pus-forming eruptions such as acne, angio-neurotic edema, cold sores, and urticaria by demonstrating both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. Calcarea hypophosphorosa: It is intended for liberal doses of phosphorus which improves skin's health and is indicated for acne pustulosa and for prominent peripheral veins standing like whipcords. It helps in pus reabsorption and healing process. Echinacea angustifolia: Traditionally used to correct blood dyscrasias and support septic states, Echinacea angustifolia stimulates immune responses in recurrent boils and ulcers. In a randomized, double-blind trial of 114 acne patients, an Echinacea-containing supplement reduced inflammatory lesions by 40% at four weeks and 56.7% at eight weeks (vs. –18.9% placebo), with GAGS scores falling 35% at four weeks and 57% at eight weeks (Figure 1). Silicea: It is traditionally indicated for felons, boils, abscesses, and chronic fistulous ulcers, where it controls purulence and supports pus reabsorption to stimulate proper healing. Saxena 45 Product Watch TM Anekind Introduction Anaemia is a deficiency of red blood cells, haemoglobin and haematocrit. In children it could be due to simple malnutrition or to complex causes of disease of haematopoietic organs or their suppression due to antibiotics and potent chemotherapeutic TM agents. Anekind is a homoeopathic medicine which can be given in the case of initial forms of anaemia. The anaemic baby is frequently fatigued, tends to be pale, may suffer from tachycardia, shows signs of physical weakness and very easily gets tired, effects which are caused by insufficient supply of oxygen to the organs and the tissues through the blood flow. A randomized, parallel-arm trial in school children (12–14 years) with iron-deficiency anemia showed that a combination of Ferrum phosphoricum 3X and Ferrum metallicum 3X raised mean hemoglobin levels by 1.2 g/dL over three months versus placebo, confirming its clinical efficacy in pediatric anemia (Khurana A, et al., 2020). Ceanothus americanus: It targets anemia arising from liver and spleen dysfunction by enhancing hematopoiesis and iron storage. In a preliminary adjunctive trial of 38 - thalassemia patients on hydroxyurea, addition of Ceanothus americanus 30C led to a 12% further rise in fetal hemoglobin, marked spleen size reduction, and improved clinical outcomes compared to hydroxyurea alone (Banerjee A. et al., 2010). Secale cornutum: It is indicated for vertigo, cold extremities, debility, anxiety, emaciation, pale, sunken face with livid spots in children. Cinchona officinalis: It is used for anemia accompanied by vertigo, debility, nervousness, recurring illnesses, flatulence, and belching, Cinchona officinalis supports red blood cell production and digestive function in hemolytic states. A 2023 systematic review of homeopathic interventions for irondeficiency anemia identified Cinchona officinalis as one of the most effective remedies, with case series reporting mean hemoglobin increases of 0.8–1.0 g/dL over eight weeks (Reddy TA, et al., 2023). Ginkgo biloba: supports digestion and relieves fatigue in children with anemia-related weakness. Recent in vitro research demonstrated that ginkgolic acid a bioactive component of Ginkgo strongly inhibits the entry of respiratory syncytial virus and human metapneumovirus into lung epithelial cells, suggesting powerful antiviral activity for pediatric throat and airway infections (Luck, et al., 2024). Saxena TM Alpha –RC Introduction Common cold (coryza), influenza and viral fever have many symptoms, one being catarrh or congestion of upper respiratory tract. The upper respiratory tract consists of the nose, nasopharynx and larynx, and the lower respiratory tract consists of trachea bronchi and lungs. The lining membrane of the air passages has a thin film of mucous membrane, which is sensitive to cold, dust, irritating fumes and pathogens. The common cold infection very swiftly spreads causing catarrh, profuse watery nasal discharge during initial phase and thick yellow secretion in the second phase. A 2019 systematic review of randomized and observational trials in upper respiratory infections found that Aconitum-containing homeopathic formulations significantly reduced overall symptom duration and accelerated fever resolution when administered at the onset of illness. Eupatorium perfoliatum: It is indicated for the full spectrum of viral fever and catarrhal symptoms like coryza, sneezing, chest soreness, muscle and bone aches, headache, malaise, and fever, providing comprehensive symptomatic relief. In addition to its symptomatic benefits, a large prospective, community-based open-label cohort study in Delhi demonstrated that weekly administration of Eupatorium perfoliatum 30C reduced laboratory-confirmed dengue incidence by 72.8% (0.13 vs. 0.46 cases per 1,000 person-weeks; 95% CI 54.5–83.7; p = 0.0001) (Figure 1), suggesting a significant prophylactic and broader antiviral efficacy (Nayak D, et al.,2024). Gelsemium sempervirens: It covers spasmodic and catarrhal respiratory distress like coryza, sore chest with glottal spasm, rapid, spasmodic breathing, and compression-relieved headaches often accompanied by a cold sensation in the head. A landmark preclinical study by Magnani et al. (2010) showed that ultra-low dilutions of Gelsemium sempervirens (5C, 9C, 30C) exert anxiolytic-like effects in mice, reducing stress-induced behaviors without sedation, which accounts for its traditional efficacy in calming spasmodic respiratory affections and tension headaches. Kali phosphoricum: In a 2023 double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of patients with neurasthenia and respiratory fatigue, those treated with Kali phosphoricum 6X experienced significantly greater improvements in irritability (Δ 0.47 vs. 0.16), dyspnea on exertion, headache (Δ 0.44 vs. 0.40), and overall malaise scores over six weeks compared to placebo (all p < 0.05) (see Figure 2). These results validate in easing obstructed breathing, calming the mind, and restoring a sense of well-being in catarrhal and fatigue-related conditions. Nux vomica: It is indicated for irritant‐induced respiratory hypersensitivity catarrhal hoarseness, spasmodic coughing, dyspnea, and tension headaches. A miasmatic review by Yadava et al. (2024) reports that its psoric action calms mucosal inflammation while its sycotic effects alleviate neurogenic spasms, restoring normal breathing and reducing cough and headache severity. Dosage: Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, at the beginning of the complaints, take 1 to 2 tablets hourly, and once the acute complaints start to subside, take 1 tablet every two hours.
