Mission and Vision •A central information system to register, manage and analyze information about research activities within an organisation. •It connects who, what, when and how of research, not the content but the structured (meta)information. WHAT IS IT NOT? •A supporting system for researcher workflows •An environment for complex analyses •A system for research data (data generated through research)

Step 2: On the sheets you find several tools* used in the researcher’s workflow. Discuss where and when you would register the information for your user story for the first time. Place the blocks in the specific tools. Step 3: Add the MORIS layer to connect this information Step 4: PRESENT your newly built RIS (including a catchy name for your creation!) *check the definition list of the tools if things are unclear
NAME OF THE LAYOUT Text #3 Who is MORIS? •Occasion: Shared need within the UASs for a flexible and open RIS that enables the sector to gain greater control over the management and exchange of their research information •Objective: A shared solution for administering and sharing research information •Key properties: •Standards: Utilizes open standards and makes use of existing PID infrastructure (ORCID, DOI, RAiD, ROR) •Open Research Information: More transparancy in the entire research process (grants, projects, organisations, datasets, software, research output) •Reuse of information from existing systems and databases (e.g. HR system, DMP tool, repositories) For practice-oriented research Modular Open Research Information System
