As part of the ECSS 2024 program, Informatics Europe held its annual Award Ceremony on 29 October, presenting the Minerva Informatics Equality Award and the Best Dissertation Award to celebrate excellence and promote diversity in Informatics research and education.

Minerva Informatics Equality Award 2024 About this year’s Award •A total of 12 nominations from 8 different countries were received, with initiatives focused on any stage of the career pipeline of women in informatics research and education; Evaluation process: •Each nomination was evaluated by at least three reviewers. •A panel discussed top-ranked submissions and selected the best 3 for re-evaluation. •A 9-dimensions evaluation was used by the committee to grade the top-ranked submissions to reach a unanimous decision. •The scores were summed to identify the highest-ranked proposal across all dimensions.
