on P o on-Ion Collision expe imen ), is comp ised o a cen al ba el de ec o , as well as ex ensi e beamline
de ec o s in he ou going elec on ( a -backwa d) and had on ( a - o wa d) beam di ec ions. The a - o wa d
(FF) de ec o s include Roman po s, which a e placed inside acuum and a e in ended o de ec p o ons and
ions sca e ed a e y small angles (~ 5 m ad) in he o wa d di ec ion, a ~30m downs eam om he in e ac-
ion poin . The main goal o he FF de ec o s is o ag exclusi e and di ac i e e en s and o econs uc hei
ans e se momen um wi h a esolu ion o ~ 10 MeV/c. This is ob ained by de eloping a new gene a ion o
4D acking senso s, pixela ed AC-LGADs (capaci i ely-coupled Low-Gain A alanche Diode, pixel o 500x500
µm2) [2][3] capable o p o iding he equi ed spa ial (less han 50 µm elying on cha ge sha ing among pixels)
and iming (~ 30 ps) esolu ions. A e hese AC-LGADs ha e been ead-ou using ALTIROC0 [4] as a i s
a emp , an op imized ead-ou chip, EICROC (32x32 pads), is being designed by OMEGA and he cha ac e -
iza ion o he i s p o o ype, EICROC0 (4x4 pads) [5], coupled o an AC-LGAD senso is being pe o med a
IJCLab. The EICROC0 is a sys em-on-chip wi h analog and digi al p ocessing including o each o he 16 chan-
nels a as low-noise ans-impedance p eampli ie , ollowed by wo pa hs: a as pa h wi h a disc imina o
connec ed o a 10-bi Time- o-Digi al Con e e (CEA/I u) o ime measu emen (ToA) wi h a 25 ps accu-
acy; and a slow pa h wi h shape connec ed o an 8-bi 40 MHz successi e app oxima ion Analog- o-Digi al
Con e e (AGH K akow) p o iding ampli udes. The pe o mances o pixela ed AC-LGAD senso s ead-ou
by EICROC0, ob ained om p eampli ie as well as digi al (TDC and ADC) da a and elying on measu emen s
wi h he in e nal cha ge injec ion sys em, a Be a sou ce and an in a ed lase , will be p esen ed.
