2012, on access o and p ese a ion o scien i ic in o ma ion [6]: among o he hings, he EU Commission asks
academic ins i u ions, h ough Membe S a es, o de ine and implemen policies o open access and he
dissemina ion o publica ions, as well as policies o hei long- e m p ese a ion. UniT en o ecognizes hese
policies as an e hical, social, and in ellec ual alue, and places hei implemen a ion among i s ins i u ional du ies.
In a b oade pe spec i e, UniT en o ecognizes and pu sues all he p inciples o open science – such as
anspa ency, sha ing, and euse o all esea ch ou pu s – as p omo ed and ou lined by he “Recommenda ion
o he [Eu opean] Commission on access o and p ese a ion o scien i ic in o ma ion” o 25 Ap il 2018 [4], by
he UNESCO Recommenda ion o 23 No embe 2021 [16], by he Ba celona Decla a ion [14], and by simila
documen s a he na ional and in e na ional le el. In a ou o open science, UniT en o commi s and in es s in
