Abs ac
A new lea hoppe genus o he ibe A hysanini (Hemip e a: Cicadellidae: Del ocephali-
nae), Neonakaha anus gen. no ., including wo new species: Neonakaha anus cu a us
sp. no . ( ype species) and Neonakaha anus iangula us sp. no . a e desc ibed and il-
lus a ed, and a key o species is p o ided. The ype specimens o he new species a e
deposi ed in he Ins i u e o En omology, Guizhou Uni e si y, Guiyang, China (GUGC).

In oduc ion
The ibe A hysanini Van Duzee, 1892 is dis ibu ed ac oss nea ly all e es ial
ecosys ems and is he mos species- ich ibe o Del ocephalinae. A p esen ,
he e a e 214 alid gene a and 1074 alid species dis ibu ed wo ldwide (Dmi-
ie e al. 2022). Due o he conside able size o his ibe and i s mo phological
di e si y, i is di icul o de ine, bu mos membe s ha e a Y-shaped connec i e
(Zahnise and Die ich 2013).
In ecen yea s, many new species o he A hysanini ibe ha e been disco -
e ed in China, o example, Bambusananus bispinosus Xing & Li, Nakaha anus
lii Wei & Xing, Wa anabella cu a ua Zhang & Xing, Fuscmacula bip ocessa Yao,
Zhang & Xing (Xing and Li 2016; Wei and Xing 2019; Zhang and Xing 2020; Yao
e al. 2021). Cu en ly, he e a e 29 gene a and 106 species in China (Huang e
al. 2025). A s udy o samples collec ed om Xizang Au onomous Region and
Sichuan P o ince, China e ealed he p esence o a new genus and wo new
species, which a e desc ibed in he p esen pape . The new genus is simila ex-
e nally o Nakaha anus Ishiha a bu di e s in cha ac e s o he male geni alia.
Ma e ial and me hods
D y male and emale specimens we e used o he desc ip ions and illus a ions.
Ex e nal mo phology was obse ed unde a s e eoscopic mic oscope, and
cha ac e s we e measu ed wi h an ocula mic ome e . The geni al segmen s o

The mo phological e minology used in he desc ip ions mainly ollows Li e al.

Desc ip ion. Colou gene ally yellowish b own wi h da ke b own ma kings,
pale in emale. Pos clypeus pale o blackish b own wi h small yellow-b own

Discussion
The new genus, along wi h Nakaha anus, can be dis inguished om o he
Phlepsiini (in Zahnise and Die ich 2013) by he ollowing cha ac e is ics: in
he new genus, he an e io ma gin o he head is smoo h, whe eas in Phlepsiini
i is ans e sely s ia e o ca ina e; he head is simila in wid h o he p ono um,
while in Phlepsiini i is dis inc ly na owe ; and he an ennal ledge is smoo h,
bu ca ina e in Phlepsiini. Based on he abo e desc ip ion, we ag ee wi h he
opinion o Zahnise and Die ich (2013) and place he new genus in A hysanini.
