Abs ac . Au oimmune hy oidi is (AIT) in women o ep oduc i e age is o en associa ed

aged 15–49 yea s wi h AIT we e examined. Vi amin D de iciency (<20 ng/mL) was de ec ed in
68%, insu iciency (20–30 ng/mL) in 22%, and no mal le els (>30 ng/mL) in 10%. De icien
pa ien s showed highe TSH and an i-TPO le els compa ed o hose wi h su icien i amin D. A
subg oup ea ed wi h i amin D and chi osan demons a ed g ea e imp o emen : 25(OH)D
no maliza ion in 82%, TSH educ ion in 61%, and ≥25% dec ease o an i-TPO in 47%, compa ed
o 29%, 38%, and 19% in he i amin-D-only g oup. These esul s indica e ha i amin D
de iciency is common in ep oduc i e-age women wi h AIT and ha adding chi osan may enhance
he apeu ic esponse.

In oduc ion. Au oimmune hy oidi is (AIT) is one o he mos common au oimmune
endoc ine diso de s a ec ing women o ep oduc i e age. I is cha ac e ized by lymphocy ic
in il a ion o he hy oid gland, ele a ed an i- hy oid an ibodies, and g adual decline o hy oid
unc ion [1]. A g owing body o e idence indica es ha i amin D de iciency is p e alen in AIT
pa ien s and may con ibu e o au oimmune ac i a ion by modula ing immune esponses and
p omo ing in lamma ion [2].
Despi e i s impo ance, da a on i amin D s a us among women wi h AIT in Uzbekis an a e
limi ed. Fu he mo e, adjunc i e he apeu ic s a egies, such as chi osan supplemen a ion, ha e
been sugges ed o enhance immune modula ion and imp o e clinical ou comes [3]. This s udy
aims o e alua e i amin D s a us in women wi h AIT and assess he e ec i eness o combined
i amin D and chi osan he apy.
Me hods. The s udy included 50 women aged 15–49 yea s wi h con i med AIT, ea ed a
he AVED Thy oidology Cen e and he Endoc inology Depa men o Andijan S a e Medical
Ins i u e. Se um le els o 25-hyd oxy i amin D (25(OH)D), TSH, ee T4, and an i- hy oid
pe oxidase (an i-TPO) an ibodies we e measu ed. Pa ien s we e classi ied acco ding o i amin D
s a us: de iciency (<20 ng/mL), insu iciency (20–30 ng/mL), o no mal (>30 ng/mL). A subg oup
o pa ien s ecei ed combined he apy wi h i amin D and chi osan, while he emainde ecei ed
i amin D alone. Ho monal and immunological pa ame e s we e assessed be o e and a e he
in e en ion. Da a we e analyzed s a is ically o compa e ou comes be ween ea men g oups.
Resul s. Vi amin D de iciency was obse ed in 68% o pa ien s, insu iciency in 22%, and
no mal le els in only 10%. Women wi h de iciency exhibi ed highe TSH le els (4.8 ± 1.3
mIU/L) and ele a ed an i-TPO i e s (358 ± 92 IU/mL) compa ed o hose wi h su icien i amin
D (2.7 ± 0.9 mIU/L and 214 ± 70 IU/mL, espec i ely).

Supplemen a ion wi h i amin D imp o es ho monal and immunological pa ame e s, and
he addi ion o chi osan enhances hese e ec s. Combined he apy o e s a p omising app oach o
op imize clinical ou comes, educe au oimmune agg ession, and suppo hy oid unc ion in
women wi h AIT [4]. Fu he s udies wi h la ge pa ien coho s a e wa an ed o con i m hese
