A B S T R A C T
This s udy aims o measu e he nu ses’ pe o mance and sa is ac ion a pedia ic wa ds
in Mosul Hospi als. Me hods: A desc ip i e design was used a 5/Janua y o 14/Augus
/ 2025 in paedia ic wa d in hospi als in Mosul ha seek o measu e pe o mance o
nu ses and sa is ac ion in 5/Janua y o 14/Augus / 2025. Pu posi e non-p obabili y
sample was s ill used in he cu en s udies. The e we e 300 nu ses. A ques ionnai e
was u he de eloped and gi en o sample which had 3 sec ions and ha was ound o
be alid by 14 panel o expe s. To de e mine eliabili y o ques ionnai e, pilo o s udy
was s ill used in 9-13 Ma ch /2025 which las ed wo days, eliabili y was done in SPSS
26 e sion in Alpha C onbach esul was (0.801). Resul s: Sample cha ac e is ics was
mos o hem emale be ween (21-30) yea s old o age was g adua ed om Ins i u e
and ha ing (1-5) yea s o gene al employmen s pe iod and employmen s pe iod in uni ,
no ha ing any aining cou se and eading sou ce. The esul s shows ha he o al
nu ses’ pe o mance le el was 28.3% (85) o he nu ses a he ag ee le el, wi h a chi-
squa e alue o (18.72) in addi ion a signi ican p. alue (0.001). Addi ionally, he o al
nu ses’ sa is ac ion le el was 41.5% (125) o he nu ses a he ag ee le el, wi h a chi-
squa e alue o (30.14) in addi ion a signi ican p. alue (0.000). They’ e emained non-
signi ican associa ion be ween demog aphic cha ac e is ics wi h sample esul s,
excep he age and gende wi h o al nu ses’ pe o mance and sa is ac ion, employmen
pe iod in he uni wi h o al nu ses’ sa is ac ion, while aining cou ses wi h o al
nu ses’ pe o mance a p. alue ≤ 0.05. Conclusion: The sample pe o mance o al le el

p. alue (0.000). 61.7 % (185) mos o hem was

signi ican p. alue (0.028). 49.3% (74) mos o
hem ha ing Ins i u e o educa ion le el wi h chi-
squa e (13.76) and signi ican p. alue (0.001).
73.3% (110) mos o hem ha ing (1-5) yea s o
gene al employmen s pe iod wi h chi-squa e
(95.293) and high signi ican p. alue (0.000). also,
80.0 % (120) mos o hem ha ing (1-5) yea s o
employmen s pe iod in uni wi h chi-squa e (5.88)

answe ed nega i ely was 87%. Acco ding o he
su ey conduc ed by engage in nu sing by Choice,

asked whe he hey choose nu sing as a
