Abstract
Mangereste degli insetti, siete d'accordo con il loro utilizzo nelle preparazioni alimentari? Nel 2030 dovranno essere nutrite più di 9 miliardi di persone e, con esse, i miliardi di animali allevati per la loro alimentazione, si rende quindi sempre più pressante l’esigenza di trovare fonti di sostentamento a basso impatto ambientale ed economico e con elevato valore nutritivo. Una soluzione sulla quale si discute molto è proprio quella degli insetti. I pro e i contro, gli ostacoli culturali ed economici all'utilizzo di insetti come cibo saranno discussi nel corso del laboratorio. L’attività laboratoriale è rivolta prevalentemente, ma non esclusivamente, a docenti e operatori/trici didattici/che. Would you eat insects? Do you agree with their use in food preparations? By 2030, more than 9 billion people will need to be fed, along with the billions of animals raised for their nourishment. This makes it increasingly urgent to find sources of sustenance that have a low environmental and economic impact while offering high nutritional value. One widely discussed solution is precisely that of insects.The pros and cons, as well as the cultural and economic obstacles to using insects as food, will be explored during the workshop. The workshop activity is aimed primarily—but not exclusively—at teachers and educational practitioners.
