Abstract

This poster illustrates key results of the Z02 project regarding LandMan in the second phase of CRC 1266 "Scales of Transformation" right before the date of DFG evaluation in early 2024. (this pre-print version contains exactly all contents shown on the printed version)

Subproject Z02 specifies and implements a usable and maintainable digital solution to collect and (where applicable) merge different research data formats and object representations in order to support researchers and implement the otherwise only virtual concept of „CRC data”. Achieving this goal requires Z02 to •Identify, link, use and provide domain expertise, computer science research and practical knowledge of applied research data management •Determine and staff necessary roles •Design, implement and maintain practical & effective processes •Design, implement and maintain a user-oriented information system Results In order to build a practically useful digital solution for CRC 1266, several core tasks and milestones (see below) needed to be achieved: With the implementary and research outcomes of the first phase, a concept for data integration was prepared to built upon. In order to successfully integrate the data, the focus shifted on getting an overview of all existing data in the CRC, creating a meta data catalogue to enable data collection, to ensure data quality and fulfilling the FAIR criteria. This not only required to further expand functionality of the LandMan prototype implementation, but also to find practically useful process designs that could be used to collect the research data, corresponding meta data and additional information required for data integration on record level. • • • • • • • • • • •
