Non-Sequential Continuation and Arrow-of-Time Reversal Across Conformal Boundaries This document expands the original conjecture by adding a new theoretical development: that conformally connected epochs need not share a sequential ordering nor a matching thermodynamic arrow of time. The conformal boundary acts as a geometric junction rather than a temporal successor, permitting adjacent epochs to exhibit reversed or misaligned time orientations. 1. Temporal Orientation Need Not Be Preserved Across Conformal Interfaces Because conformal mappings fix only geometric structure and not temporal direction, two epochs may match smoothly across a shared null or spacelike boundary while possessing opposite entropy gradients. Thus, what appears as the “end” of one universe may connect not to the Big Bang of another, but to what is locally the late-time state of a different epoch whose internal arrow of time flows oppositely. 2. Replacing Sequential Cyclicity with a Non-Sequential Network of Aeons Instead of a chain of aeons as in CCC, the tiled model forms a network. Adjacency replaces succession. For epochs U_n and U_m sharing boundary B_{n,m}, conformal continuity requires: Ω_n² g^{(n)}_{ab} = Ω_m² g^{(m)}_{ab} on B_{n,m} but imposes no constraint on the relative orientation of their entropy gradients. Thus τ_n and τ_m may have opposite signs. 3. Cosmological Expansion and Contraction Lose Their Temporal Privilege Because both expansion futures and contraction futures can be conformally flattened, a boundary may represent the asymptotic future of one epoch and simultaneously the late-time contraction of another. Expansion and contraction remain present as geometric features but are no longer tied to a universal time direction. 4. Implications for Causality and Information Flow Information propagates across boundaries along analytically continued null geodesics, not along thermodynamic arrows. A local observer may judge a neighbouring epoch to be “running backwards,” while globally the spacetime mosaic resembles a manifold with region-dependent temporal orientation fields. 5. Summary of the Modified Conjecture Successive conformally matched epochs form an adjacency relation rather than a temporal sequence. The arrow of time does not transfer across boundaries. An epoch’s end may link to the end of another epoch whose internal time orientation is reversed. Cosmological expansion and contraction remain as alternating geometric phases, but without a universal temporal orientation. This extension generalises CCC into a multidirectional, multi-epoch conformal topology.
