The rapid growth of digital tools and immersive technologies has transformed approaches to teaching English. Digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality (VR) enhance communication practice, motivation, and access to authentic language environments. This article examines the pedagogical value of these tools, their integration into modern methodologies, and existing implementation challenges. Keywords: digital technologies, virtual reality, English teaching, immersive learning, digital pedagogy. The evolution of educational technology has reshaped instructional practices in English language teaching. Digital tools offer interactive, flexible, and student-centered learning experiences, while virtual reality environments replicate authentic communication contexts. These innovations respond to learners’ diverse needs and support contemporary pedagogical goals. Under conditions of constant technological progress and limited time for mastering new knowledge are of particular importance. The problem of motivating young people, especially when learning foreign languages, is becoming increasingly acute. The digital environment, rich in interactive tools and visual elements, is capable of awakening interest in learning languages from the very first steps of learning. Thanks to engaging formats for presenting material, the process of mastering new lexical units and grammatical structures becomes an engaging activity, allowing students to quickly assimilate information and feel more confident in the learning community. Active participation in digital projects, joint discussion of learning objectives, and exchange of opinions on internet platforms strengthens students' connection with the language and encourages their engagement in the learning process. As a result, traditional forms of learning are changing, a more flexible and open educational environment is being formed, which helps students and teachers have a new perspective on the process. Digital technologies include online platforms, applications, and artificial intelligence tools that support language learning. Learning Management Systems enable structured instruction, formative assessment, and individualized feedback (Albiladi & Alshareef, 2019). Mobile applications and digital resources create interactive routes for studying new lexical units, grammatical patterns, as well as various types of communicative activities (Yazlovitskaya, 2023). Thus, it is formed an organic environment where the student can independently choose the pace and complexity of tasks. As for artificial intelligence contributes through automated writing assessment, speech recognition, and personalized content recommendations. Interactive videos, virtual classrooms, and collaborative tools promote autonomy and engagement, central to communicative competence development (Godwin-Jones, 2020). Virtual Reality offers immersive, three-dimensional spaces that simulate authentic environments such as shops, airports, and city streets. These settings allow learners to practice

Virtual Reality enhances motivation, retention, and learner confidence because it integrates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic elements (Parmaxi, 2020). Nevertheless, limitations exist. High equipment costs, technical challenges, and the need for teacher training influence implementation success (Makransky & Petersen, 2021). Such a combination of personal interest and broad opportunities for self-control stimulate the formation of a confident attitude towards and introduces elements of regular self-analysis into the learning process. Obviously that language acquisition ceases to be a routine activity if it is saturated with positive emotions and a sense of progress. Modern technologies are fundamentally changing the organization of the educational process, making it much more flexible and diverse. In the digital space, interaction between can be implemented by the teacher and students in various formats: from virtual consultations and group video conferences before moderated online forums. Such an integral approach not only removes psychological barriers but also facilitates the exchange of ideas, which is especially valuable for less confident or shy participants. They can formulate their own thoughts in a comfortable rhythm for themselves, sharpening their vocabulary and receiving detailed comments on each answer. Digital tools align with communicative language teaching principles through video conferencing, online discussions, and interactive media. Task-based learning benefits from simulations and collaborative digital problem-solving. Blended learning combines traditional instruction with online components to increase flexibility and individual pacing (Ghounane, 2020). Gamification elements such as badges and leaderboards increase motivation and engagement, especially among younger learners. Flipped classroom models rely on digital content for pre-class preparation, allowing class time to focus on communicative activities (Bergmann & Sams, 2014). Teachers can implement digital tools during vocabulary introduction, grammar explanation, pronunciation practice, and communicative tasks. Virtual reality scenarios support role-plays, situational dialogues, and cultural immersion. AI-driven language platforms track students’ progress and provide individualized feedback. These strategies support meaningful communication and align with communicative goals. It should be noted that the competencies formed in the process of digitalization can emerge far beyond the subject area. Working with multimedia resources, online libraries, lexical simulators, and interactive simulators, students master not only language but also methods of effective information management, as well as learning interaction with high-tech environment (Baklashkina, 2021). This forms a stable basis for further professional activity, where it is necessary to possess various electronic tools and be open to constant re-education. Foreign language education has long been recognized as one of the key factors for the formation of a competitive specialist in the labor market. Adding to this, the ability to confidently use digital services allows graduates to feel more comfortable, prepared and versatile, opening up opportunities for international cooperation, scientific research and professional development. Despite their advantages, digital technologies require planning and digital literacy. Ensuring access, maintaining student attention, and balancing screen time remain pedagogical concerns. Ethical issues, including privacy and data security, must also be addressed when integrating digital systems into classrooms (Selwyn, 2019). In conclusion, digital technologies and virtual reality significantly influence modern English teaching practices. They promote immersion, engagement, individualized learning, and

Thoughtful integration and adequate teacher preparation are essential to maximize their pedagogical potential and mitigate challenges. REFERENCES 1. Albiladi, W. S., & Alshareef, K. K. (2019).
