Supplementary Materials of a paper submitted for publication (Fabre et al.)
Abstract
These files corresponded to the supplementary materials of the paper of Fabre et al. entitled : "has been obtained in a study corresponding to the paper entitled "Use of microbial biofilms to assess groundwater quality in karstic ecosystems" submitted for publication in an international journal. These files presented additional information about analyses performed on cave stream sediments (Suppl-Mat1) and relationships between precipitations and discharge rates measured at the outlet of the karstic system studied (Suppl-Mat2). The third file (SupplMat3) indicates the correspondence of the sample names indicated in Fabre et al. and names of the sequence data deposited in the NCBI repository (BioProject PRJNA1390062). The file 4 (Suppl-Mat4) on prokaryotic communities found in negative controls and samples indicates that samples were not contaminated with prokaryotic organisms found in controls. The file 5 (SupplMat5) presents the rarefaction curves showing that 35,243 reads were selected to have an accurrate assessment of ASV richness. The supplementary material 6 (SupplMat6) concerns the dataset used in Fabre et al. for the water chemistry, and the biomasses, activities, richness and diversity of biofilms developed on artificial substrates (clay beads). The supplementary materials 7, 8 and 9 are interactive krona charts obtained from station A (SupplMat7), station B (SupplMat8) and Stations C (SupplMat9), respectively. These files must be saved on your computer before opening them. The supplementary materials 10 (SupplMat10) presents the whole results of IndVal to select station-specific prokaryotic taxa. The supplementary material 11 (SupplMat11) is a photograph of the karstic system after a flood. Finally, the supplementary material 12 (SupplMat12) is an highlight on the relative abundances of the archean members of the family Nitrosopumilaceae in the three studied stations during the course of the experiment.
