The Ushantha Adaptive Resilience Model (UARM) Abstract The Ushantha Adaptive Resilience Model (UARM) describes a nonlinear adaptive system in which repeated exposure to stressors results in increased functional tolerance without loss of structural integrity. The model emphasises sensing, adaptive response, recovery, and feedback-driven learning as mechanisms for maintaining stability under persistent uncertainty. Model Description The system responds to environmental stressors through an initial sensing and assessment stage, followed by adaptive load redistribution. Recovery processes actively update system parameters, improving future performance. Stability is achieved through flexibility rather than rigid resistance. System Components 1. Environmental Stressors (exogenous inputs) 2. Sensing & Assessment (state estimation and diagnostics) 3. Adaptive Response (load redistribution and strategy adjustment) 4. Recovery & Learning (parameter update and fatigue management) 5. Sustained Stability & Performance (maintained operation within acceptable margins) Feedback Mechanism System outputs are continuously evaluated and fed back into the adaptive response block. This feedback loop updates internal parameters, enabling improved resilience during subsequent stress cycles. Core Principle Resilience is achieved through intelligent adaptation, not rigid resistance. Authorship & Status Authored and documented as a conceptual engineering framework. This document establishes authorship, definition, and timestamped existence of the model.
