Abstract
Scanning electron microscopic images of platelets adhering to endothelial cells at various ADP concentrations and shear rates are provided. Refer to "Synopsis.pdf" for details of the experimental conditions.

Data Synopsis Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) images of platelets adhering to endothelial cells are provided. Endothelialized micro-slide with a size of 8.2 mm x 5.0 mm x 0.8 mm were perfused with swine whole blood in which platelets were activated by adenosine diphosphate (ADP). Perfusion under each experimental condition lasted 30 minutes. Experimental conditions are summarised in the table below. Swine ID (A-E) represents the swine from which blood used in the case was collected. “Elapsed time” represents the temporal interval between the collection of blood and the commencement of perfusion. Although the examiners attempted to take 100 images in each case, some were missing due to failure in the process of image capturing. Two of the properly captured images are not provided here because of copyright: one in case 9 and the other in case 20. Those two images are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
