If there is no output from the solar field, the power block shuts down. The temperature of the heat transfer fluid (HTF) entering the solar field is maintained at 290ºC." Heat losses in the plant have been estimated at 22.6 MW. The HTF used is oil, which has a specific heat capacity of 2.45 kJ/kg·K."
